CRADEF, the configuration data set

This VSAM data set describes the functions that are supported by the defined RAMs. RAM developers require UPDATE access to this data set. The data set can be created by one of these sample jobs:

CRA$VCAD populates the data set with CA Endevor® SCM RAM data.
CRA$VDEF populates the data set with sample RAM data.

The mentioned sample jobs can be used to disable a defined RAM during VSAM creation. Doing so enables you to create a customized CARMA setup by using a single RAM definition file, which can be one provided by IBM® or customized by your RAM developers.
