Running a code review
A code review can be started from the workbench toolbar, the software analysis configuration window, the project explorer view, or a programming language editor. The method of starting the code review can override the scope that is defined in the software analysis configuration.
About this task
You can run a code review by selecting a software analysis configuration or a
baseline analysis configuration from any of the following locations:
- The workbench toolbar
- The software analysis configuration window
- The project explorer
- The COBOL Editor, the PL/I Editor, z Systems® LPEX editor,
The scope of the code review is defined in the selected software analysis configuration or baseline analysis configuration. For a baseline analysis configuration, the scope is defined in the software analysis configuration that is selected in the baseline analysis configuration.
But the configured scope can be overridden by the method that is used to start the code review. Table 1 shows the runtime scope for each start method.
