Extending the editors

Developer for z/OS® defines two extension points that you can use to extend the function of supported editors.

Supported Editors:

• COBOL Editor
• JCL Editor
• PL/I Editor
• z Systems® LPEX Editor

You can use the following extension points to extend the editors:

• Use an extension point for preprocessor integration to create a preprocessor that can be integrated into the editors and started when you open a file in an editor.
• Use an extension point for content assistance to contribute categories and proposals to the content assist window.
