Using the remote syntax check

You can use the Remote Syntax Check action to syntax check a JCL script that will be submitted to compile the C/C++ PDS member open in the z Systems® LPEX Editor, parse any errors that are returned, and add them to the Remote Error List.

About this task

To check the syntax remotely, complete the following:

Procedure

In the z Systems LPEX Editor, right-click and select Remote syntax check.

Results

Any errors that are returned are added to the Remote Error List

Note: If your file contains unsaved changes, the menu item will appear as Save and syntax check.

Note: This action does not generate an object file
