The Temporary Storage Model Definitions (TSMDEF) view displays information about all the attributes of temporary storage models defined in the CICSPlex® SM data repository. When installed in a target CICS® system, these temporary storage model attributes govern the characteristics of those CICS temporary storage queues with names that generically match that of the prefix field.
The definitions visible in the view depend on the CICS Explorer® context that is selected:

| CICSPlex SM resource group (RESGROUP) | Only resource definitions defined to the CICSPlex SM Data Repository for the selected Resource group. |
| CICS system group | All definitions defined to the CICSPlex SM data repository for the selected CICSplex. |
| CICS region | For CICS TS Version 4 or later, all definitions defined to the CSD that is used by the CICS region. |
| CICS group (CSDGROUP) | For CICS TS Version 4 or later, all definitions defined to the selected group in the CSD that is used by the CICS region. |
