The Resource group definitions view displays either the CICS® groups in the CSD (CSDGROUP) or the BAS resource groups in the data repository (RESGROUP), depending on the current scope.
The definitions visible in the view depend on the CICS Explorer® context that is selected:

| CICSplex | All definitions defined to the CICSPlex® SM data repository for the selected CICSplex. |
| CICSPlex SM resource group (RESGROUP) | Only resource definitions defined to the CICSPlex SM Data Repository for the selected Resource group. |
| CICS system group | All definitions defined to the CICSPlex SM data repository for the selected CICSplex. |
| CICS region | For CICS TS Version 4 or later, all definitions defined to the CSD that is used by the CICS region. |
| CICS group (CSDGROUP) | For CICS TS Version 4 or later, all definitions defined to the selected group in the CSD that is used by the CICS region. |
