Integrating other help documentation in the CICS Explorer
You can enhance the CICS Explorer® help by integrating other documentation, such as locally
written operating processes and procedures, or documentation from
another source, such as the CICS® information
center.
Installing the CICS Information Center in the CICS Explorer
You can download and install a copy of some, or all, of
the CICS Information Center
into your CICS Explorer.
Because the documentation you download is local, you can search and
view it easily from within the CICS
Explorer.
Integrating text and HTML files
If your organization has system operating processes and
procedures that are not yet in a documentation plug-in, but they exist
as text or HTML files and you want to access them in the CICS Explorer, you can place the files in a
special folder so that they are included in the CICS Explorer search index.
Integrating documentation plug-ins
Documentation that is fully integrated is easier and quicker
to search for help topics compared with accessing the information
remotely. If you have local documentation that is in one or more plug-ins,
you can integrate it fully with the CICS Explorer Help Contents. You can
also integrate documentation from another source; for example, you
can include one or more of the CICS,
or any other, Information Center plug-ins.
