Use the Edit Emitted Business Information dialog in the CICS® event binding editor to change the name, type, precision for numeric or scientific types, or change the length of data that you want to emit for your event specification.
When you edit emitted business information by clicking Edit, the Edit Emitted Business Information panel is displayed.
- Name
- The name of the emitted business information.
- Type
- The type of emitted business information. Valid choices include
one of the following:
- Text
- Numeric
- Scientific
- Length
- Select the length of emitted business information. When the Automatic checkbox is selected the length is set to 0, a length of 0 means capture up to the end of the data area or container. This value is useful when emitting, for example, the contents of a container regardless of its length.
- Precision
- Select the precision for numeric and scientific business information items. This field is disabled for other business information items.
- Description
- Provide a brief description of the emitted business information.
