Creating a custom rule

About this task

You create custom rules from templates. For a description of the available templates, see the following links.

Procedure

  1. On the Preferences window, navigate to Software Analyzer > Custom Rules and Categories.
  2. Click Add Rule.
    The Add Custom Rule wizard opens
  3. Select the category to which you want to add a rule and click Next.
  4. Select the template for the custom rule and click Next.
  5. Set values for the parameters and click Finish.
