A workload group is used to associate one or more related
workload definitions or routing rules. When you create a routing rule, CICS Explorer® creates
a new workload group to contain the rule. If you have an existing
routing rule, or a number of routing rules in a group, you can add
them to the workload specification.
Procedure
- In the Rules section of the Workload
Specification editor, click the Import an existing routing
rule or group icon
. The Import window
opens, and shows all the workload groups and routing rule in the CICSplex.
Initially, only the descriptions are shown. You can see the group
and rule names by clicking the Show or hide names icon
. If a routing rule or
a workload group is associated with another workload specification,
then the resource is not available.
- Click the routing rule or workload group that you want
to add. If you add a group, then the group and all
the available rules in the group are added to the workload specification.
If you add a rule, then the rule is added to the workload specification,
and a new group is created to contain the rule. The greater than symbol: > indicates
that this resource is a new rule or group, and that it is not yet
saved.
What to do next
