Associating project resources with CARMA

Project resource must first be associated with a CARMA resource in order to perform CARMA actions, such as check-in or upload. For example, when an upload action is performed the workspace resource is uploaded to the associated repository resource. If a project resource is not associated with CARMA, then no CARMA actions will appear under the team menu. The only action available will be the association action.

Before you begin

To associate project content, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the content to be associated.
  2. Click Team > Associate with CARMA. This launches the association wizard.
  3. The association wizard displays the list of the valid CARMA content to which the project resource can associate. Select a resource to associate with.
  4. Click the Finish button to complete the association.

The association should now enable the valid CARMA actions on the Team menu for the associated project resource.

Note: When a z/OS® subproject is associated with CARMA at the RAM level, CARMA loses the ability to update project properties at the subproject level. CARMA will still retain the ability to update project properties at the data set and member levels.
