Setting default preferences for JCL generation

About this task

When you create new z/OS Batch Application launch configurations with existing JCL, the values from the JCL Generation preference page are used as defaults.

Procedure

To set the default preferences for JCL generation as part of the z/OS Batch Application launch configurations with existing JCL, complete the following steps:

  1. Open the Preferences window.
  2. In the left navigation pane, select Run/Debug > Compiled Debug > IBM z/OS Debugger > JCL Generation.
  3. Optional: Specify appropriate debug options for Test Level, Error Level, and Prompt Level.

Note: Any data sets added with the type option Source (COBOL) are ignored for debug sessions.
