The Resource perspective

The Resource perspective contains a basic set of views to help you get started with the management of projects and the resources they contain. The perspective name is displayed on a button in the shortcut bar The shortcut bar showing the perspective name - Resource. If the Resource perspective is not active you can open it by clicking the Open Perspective icon The Open Perspective icon and clicking Resource.

The Resource perspective is shown in the following example screen. The icons that are present in the toolbar might vary depending on the product you are running.

You can tailor the perspective by adding new views, removing existing views, moving views around or changing the size of views. When you close z/OS® Explorer, any changes you made to the perspective are saved, and next time z/OS Explorer starts, your tailored perspective is displayed.

You can restore the perspective to the last saved configuration at any time by clicking Window > Reset Perspective from the main workbench menu bar. You can reset the supplied perspectives to their default configuration using the Reset action in the Preferences Perspective page.

You can create and save multiple perspectives. For example, you might want to set up one perspective that only shows some of the views.
Note: When you save a perspective, you save only the layout of the views and editors in the workbench. If you change the width of a column in a view, that change will be applied to that column in every perspective that contains the view. Any filter attributes you have set are retained when you switch to another perspective or view.
