The Design page menu provides context-specific field and map display and formatting options and editing options.

You can also view the Field properties and BMS map properties windows, if you select an item with the cursor.

The Show Source option shows specific map or field information.

To print the entire design canvas, select Print. You cannot print specific maps or fields.

The field-specific formatting options are as follows:
Format
Includes the following options:
  • Highlighting
  • Outline
  • Intensity
  • Color
Align
Provides horizontal and vertical alignment options and an Align to Parent menu.
The following general display options are on the toolbar above the Design canvas:
  • Show Grid
  • Show Sample Values
The Filters menu includes some display options that are not available elsewhere:
  • Hide Map or Show Map (based on context)
  • Hide All Maps
  • Show All Maps
  • Configure (opens the Filters window)
The following options are standard editing options:
  • Undo and Redo
  • Cut, Copy, Paste, and Delete
Important: The Undo and Redo options apply to operations performed in either the Outline view or the Design canvas. For example, if you cut a field in the Design canvas, the Undo Cut option is enabled in the Outline view menu.

Bidirectional options

If you enable bidirectional support, a Bidirectional Settings option is displayed on the Design page menu. The same options are on the bidirectional toggle button.

Label field options

When working with a label field, you might see the following options:
  • Right to left Reading order
  • Show Unicode control characters
  • Insert Unicode control character (with additional options)

These system options are provided by Windows operating system when you are working with text input fields. For more information, see the Windows documentation.
