Bidirectional conversion options window

The Bidirectional conversion options window opens when you select the Bidi options button on the XML Converters tab of the Generation options page. The bidirectional conversion options are not available for IMS Enterprise Suite SOAP Gateway projects.

Enable Bidi conversion

This checkbox controls whether the bidirectional language conversion is performed at run time. For bidirectional language conversion to take place, this checkbox must be selected for the host data and for at least one of the request and response message. If these conditions are not met, an error message is displayed in the error message area of a wizard. If you select Enable Bidi conversion, all of the conversion attributes listed in the window apply during the conversion process.

Text type

You can select the following bidirectional language text types:

• VISUAL
• LOGICAL

Text orientation

You can select the following text orientation attributes:

• LTR (Left-to-right)
• RTL (Right-to-left)

Symmetric swapping

You can turn Symmetric swapping on or off.

Numeric swapping

You can turn Numeric swapping on or off.
