Generating JCL actions for C and C++ files

You can use the Generate JCL action to generate a JCL script for selected partitioned data sets (PDSs) or C or C++ PDS members.

About this task

Using the Generate JCL action, you can generate different JCL scripts for completing these tasks:

Compile the selected PDS or C or C++ PDS member
Compile and link the generated objects
Compile the selected object, link it into a load module, and run the module

Note: When you use JCL scripts that are generated by this action, errors that are generated during the compilation are not added to the remote error list.
