JCL Options Tab for existing JCL

Use this tab to specify main JCL generation options when you launch an application using existing JCL.

Fields

Connection: Select the Remote System Explorer connection for this launch configuration. This is the connection where JCL is submitted and the remote debug profile is created and activated.

Base JCL: Specify the existing JCL that you want to augment with debug or code coverage options. Click Workspace to select a local JCL or click Remote to select a JCL from the remote system.

Step: Select one or more steps in the existing JCL to be augmented with debug or code coverage options. The list of available steps is populated when the base JCL is retrieved from the connection and parsed.

Debug subprogram (Delay Debug): Select this option when you want to debug a program that is not the main program being called. You are required to specify a previously created non-CICS debug profile when you select this option.

Debug Profile: Select a debug profile from the list of non-CICS profiles provided to activate as part of this launch.

Note: Code coverage options cannot be selected in the launch when you specify a debug profile.
