Remote Makefile Editor preferences

You can use the Remote Makefile Editor preferences to set the appearance and syntax coloring in the Remote Makefile Editor as well as the folding options.

About this task

To set the Remote Makefile Editor preferences, complete the following steps:

1. In the navigation pane of the Preferences window, double-click Remote Makefile Editor to open the tree of available preference pages.
2. Optional. Click the Syntax tab to change the color of various syntax constructs:
   1. Select an item from the list, then press the Color button to specify a different color.
   2. Use the Bold and Italic check boxes to additionally enhance the syntax in the editor.
3. Optional. Click the Folding tab to modify the editor's folding preferences.
   1. Check Enable folding when opening a new editor to have the Remote Makefile Editor fold the text into logical sections.
