Undoing and redoing changes
You can reverse changes within a file before the changes are saved to the remote system. After you save a data set, your edits become permanent unless you manually change them.
About this task
The undo and redo functions can be used with the following
actions:
- Adding records
- Removing records
- Cutting data
- Coping data
- Pasting data
- Field editing
The undo function reverses the most recent change. The number changes that can be undone before a file is saved is limited by the Undo limit preference. The default value is 10. After a file is saved, the undo limit is reset and previous changes are lost. To undo a change, click Undo from either the taskbar or the menu.
The redo function returns the most recent change that is made by the undo action. To redo a change, click Redo from either the taskbar or the menu
