Importing file contents into the editor

You can use the Get File action to select a file whose contents you want to copy into the file that is currently open in the z Systems® LPEX Editor.

About this task

To copy the contents of a selected file into an open file in the z Systems LPEX Editor, complete the following steps:

1. In the file that is currently open in the editor, place your cursor in the location where you want to import the contents of another file.
2. In the workbench, select File > Get File to open the Browse dialog box.
3. Browse for the file whose contents you want to copy into the file that is currently open in the editor, and then click OK.

Results

The contents of the selected file are imported at the current cursor location in the open file.
