Versions

CARMA versions represent a previous copy of a member that is held by an SCM.

Versions in CARMA can only be created for CARMA members. The actions available on versions depend on the SCM it originates from and the RAM used to connect to the SCM. Some RAMs can allow you to alter versions, while other RAMs can make the versions read-only.

You can perform the following actions on versions:

  • Open the version in an editor
  • Make changes to a version
  • Extract a version to a project
  • Lock a version
  • Unlock a version
  • Check in a version
  • Check out a version
