Resource management with property groups
Property groups are sets of property values that you define for z/OS® procedures and data sets, libraries, and compiler, link, Db2® bind, BMS/MFS, and HLASM assemble options. Property groups manage resource properties. They can be shared among systems, projects, resources, and users.
Property groups are created and managed in the Property Group Manager. Figure 1 shows a portion of the property group that is associated with the COBOL sample that is supplied with the product. At the bottom of the graphic, you can see the Property Group Manager view.
The properties within a property group depend on the type of resource for which the property group is defined.
