Character encoding warning
The editor provides a character encoding warning when you attempt to save a file that contains characters that cannot be translated to EBCDIC.
Whenever you save a file in the editor, it checks for any characters that cannot be translated to the EBCDIC character encoding. If the file contains such characters, a window opens warning you that the characters cannot be translated. Click Save Anyway to continue with the file save operation or Cancel to return to the editor to fix the characters in question.
You can disable this warning. See the related topics for more information.
