Connecting to decision service data

Decision Insights connects to decision service data to display execution metrics and outcomes in dashboards.

Each decision service created and deployed in Decision Intelligence can act as a monitoring source. A monitoring source provides the performance data that Decision Insights uses to calculate metrics and display visualizations.

Accessing monitoring sources when creating charts

When you create charts, the available monitoring sources appear under the Monitoring sources section in the Monitoring tab. You can select the decision services you want to monitor. The selected services become available when you create or edit dashboards and charts.

User-defined monitoring sources

In addition to system-provided sources, you can define your own monitoring sources. This feature allows you to create tailored datasets that better meet your monitoring needs. These user-defined sources can then be used when creating charts and dashboards.

To define a monitoring source:
  1. Navigate to the Monitoring Sources tab.
  2. Create a custom dataset by selecting the scope and applying relevant filters.
  3. Add the source for use in dashboards and visualizations.
