Building decision services in Decision Designer

Decision Designer is a collaborative environment where you can develop and test decision services.

Before you create a decision service, you need to create a decision automation. A decision automation is a container for Decision Designer users to organize one or more related decision services. Each decision service can hold several decision artifacts.

Creating decision automations

To create a decision automation, click the Create a new decision automation tile on the Decision Intelligence home page. Alternatively, you can click New decision automation + in the Recent decision automations section of the home page.

Pinning decision automations to the home page

You can pin up to four decision automations to your home page for quick access. To pin or unpin a decision automation, click Display settings Display settings icon

on the home page:

To pin a new decision automation: open the All tab, search for the decision automation you want, and click Pin automation .
To unpin a decision automation: open the Pinned tab, and click Unpin automation next to the automation.

Exploring the Decision Designer tabs

When you create a decision automation, Decision Designer automatically opens. You can navigate to the following tabs:

Tab	What you can do
Decision services	Create, edit, or delete decision services. Import samples.
Load changes	Check whether your collaborators made changes in the decision automation and shared them. You see an icon with a blue dot when you have incoming changes that you need to load for the decision automation. Retrieve the changes that have been shared by your collaborators. If there is any conflict between your changes and your collaborators' changes on the same decision artifact, you can resolve it here.
Share changes	View the decision artifacts that you haven't shared yet. Share decision services or decision artifacts that you created, updated, or deleted with your collaborators. Revert some or all of your changes that have not been shared yet.
Branches	Create and delete branches. Create merge requests and merge branches to incorporate changes from a source branch to a target branch.
View history	View the changes history for the decision automation. Revert to a version that was shared in the past. Create a version of your decision automation. The version that you created can be later used to build and deploy a decision service.
Dependencies	Publish decision artifacts to reuse them in the other decision services contained in your automation.
Deploy	Build and deploy decision services.
