Setting up the z/OS Debugger host

In this section, system programmers can find instructions to set up the z/OS® Debugger host and the prerequisite host components.

• IBM Explorer for z/OS: The z/OS Explorer server is required if an Eclipse IDE is used with z/OS Debugger. For Debug Profile Service, use z/OS Explorer host 3.2.0.13 or later.
• Application Delivery Foundation for z Systems Common Components: The ADFzCC server and LANGX feature are required by z/OS Debugger.

You can use IBM Host Configuration Assistant for Z Development, an interactive wizard that is designed to simplify planning and configuring of Z development products, to generate a customized checklist for z/OS Debugger and the prerequisite host components. Only the latest product releases are supported.
