Customizing your z/OS system to give the API access to DTCN profiles

Before you begin using the API, you must do the following tasks:

Verify that the application you are developing provides the proper authentication and security measures, as described in Authentication, access control, and version compatibility.
Enable TCP/IP communication between your application and the z/OS® system, as described in the topic Defining the CICS® TCPIPSERVICE resource in the IBM® z/OS Debugger Customization Guide.
