Programming for cloud environments

A set of REST APIs is provided so that you can programmatically complete some of the operations tasks that you would otherwise do in the cloud portal.

Authenticating client applications
API calls from client applications must be authenticated before they can access the cloud environment. To authenticate the calls, you can use either basic authentication and service credentials or Open Authorization (OAuth) 2.0 based authentication that uses both service credentials and client credentials.
Preventing cross site request forgery
To prevent cross site request forgery attacks, all cloud operations API calls require that the IBM-CSRF-Token token is set in the HTTP header of every request.
