Calling decision service rulesets

Your application can call a decision service ruleset as a SOAP/XML, REST/XML, or REST/JSON web service. Incoming data is passed as HTTP content in the XML or JSON format. Security is provided over HTTPS through basic HTTP authentication that includes a user name and password. Use service credentials to authenticate client applications.

The cloud portal uses the HTTPS secure communication protocol. It has the security level of TLS 1.2 or above. If your client application does not support TLS, an exception occurs during the connection process.

You must use a cloud password in calling a decision service ruleset. Use service credentials because they are highly secure, and exempt from cloud portal policies for updating passwords .
