Administrators can manage user and group permissions to access the repository for your
workflow business automations.
Procedure
You can add users and groups directly from your user registry to grant access to the
repository:
-
In the left navigation, expand Administration and select
Repository and registry access.
- Optional: As an administrator, you can add users and groups from your external
user repository to the
tw_admins (administrative access) and
tw_authors (non-administrative access) groups by clicking Process Admin Console. Members of these groups have
access to the repository by default. To grant access to this repository by using
tw_admins and
tw_authors, complete the following steps:
- Click Process Admin Console.
- Select Manage groups.
- Search for
tw_admins or tw_authors, depending on the access
needed. Adding users or groups to the tw_author group grants them write permission,
which enables them to import or create projects. By default, users have administrative rights to the
project they create or import.
- Add the users or groups to the
tw_admins and tw_authors
group.
-
Click Add.
-
Enter the name of the user or group that you want to add in the search field. You can enter
part of the name and all accounts that match are displayed.
Tip: Add or remove users from the groups in your external user repository, which will
modify the tw_admins and tw_authors groups. This practice ensures
that the security maintenance that you complete in your external user repository doesn't require
more work in Business Automation Studio.
-
Click the check box next to the users and groups that you want to add, and click
Add.
