Release notes - IBM InfoSphere Federation Server Version 9.7 Fix Pack 3

IBM InfoSphere Federation Server offers access to many relational and nonrelational data sources. For information on the product capabilities, see the Federated systems overview.

Supported data sources

Federation adds support for the following data sources:

• DB2® Database for Linux, UNIX, and Windows Version 9.8
• Microsoft Windows 2008, Release 2
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Release 2
• MQSeries® 7.0.1
• Sybase Version 15.5

DataDirect Connect 6.0 restriction

A restriction with DataDirect Connect 6.0 for ODBC impacts the Microsoft SQL Server wrapper. When specifying a versioned procedure name (for example: "MyProcedure;1") to a call to SQLProcedureColumns with DataDirect Connect for ODBC 6.0 to Microsoft SQL Server 2008, no rows are returned. The Microsoft SQL Server wrapper cannot use DataDirect Connect 6.0 for ODBC to federate Microsoft SQL Server 2008 stored procedures that have parameters.

Workaround: You need to use DataDirect Connect 5.3 for ODBC instead.
