Certain Net Search Extender (NSE) features and commands
have been deprecated and might be removed in a future release.
Details
The following NSE features have
been deprecated:
- Index updates using replication
- Indexes on nicknames (federated databases)
- The NUMBEROFMATCHES scalar function
- Highlighting in search operations
- User-defined relationships in a thesaurus
- Documents in General Purpose Format (GPP)
- Caching for search operations using the stored procedures
- Presorted indexes used in search operations using the stored procedures
The following commands have been deprecated because the
related features have also been deprecated:
- ACTIVATE CACHE
- DEACTIVATE CACHE
- DB2EXTHL
User response
You can start using other
supported features or commands before these deprecated features and
commands become discontinued. Avoid using deprecated features and
commands when developing new applications.
