The Tree Node Distribution View shows the tree, the appendant node
IDs, and the distribution of field values in the nodes.
The following figure shows the Tree Node Distribution View:
Figure 1. The Tree Node Distribution View of the Classification
Visualizer
The Tree Node Distribution View shows the following information on branch
nodes:
- Distribution of field values
- Node size
- Number of nodes
- Node ID
- Pruned nodes
You can specify the following chart types for categorical and discrete
numeric fields:
- Histogram
- Pie-chart
- Table
You can browse the branch node distributions in the following modes:
- Tree mode
- In
the Tree mode, the Tree Node Distribution View shows a table containing information
about the distribution of the field values in all nodes. Each row of the table
represents a node.
If branches are collapsed, the appropriate nodes are
removed from the view. If branches are expanded, nodes are added to the view.
You
can select several nodes to display them in Table mode.
- Table mode
- In
the Table mode, the Tree Node Distribution View shows a table containing information
on nodes that you selected in tree mode.
You can sort the nodes by the
following criteria:
By default, the nodes are sorted by size.
You can select several
charts to fit them to window size in chart mode.
- Chart mode
- In
the Chart mode, the Tree Node Distribution View shows the charts that you
selected in Table mode.
The legend at the bottom of the page explains the background colors of
the rows in the table. The background color of a row represents a particular
information of the corresponding class, for example, the size of a class.
You can specify the background color to represent also the average values
of a specific field, or aggregations of a specific field value of the records
in the class.
