Data mining — Starting the Java Based Mining Visualizers

Starting the standalone Mining Visualizers on Windows operating systems
On Windows operating systems, you can start the Mining Visualizers by using the Start menu or a command line interface.

Starting the standalone Mining Visualizers on Linux operating systems
You can start the Mining Visualizers on AIX® operating systems or on Linux operating systems by typing imvisualizer in a command line interface. After entering this command, the Open a New Model window is displayed.

Required parameters to start the Java-based Mining Visualizers
If you do not want to specify the required parameters on the Local File System page or on the Database page of the Open a New Model window, you can call the mining visualizers directly by adding the required parameters to the start command on a command line interface.

Optional parameters to start the Java-based Mining Visualizers
You can also add optional parameters to the start command. For example, you might want to start the Java-based visualizers without splash screen, or you might want to reset the visualizer properties to their original settings.

Calling Java-based visualizers with database profiles
If you have previously created a database profile, you can also start the Java-based visualizers by calling a database profile.
