You can use the Analyze Model wizard to check that your
cube model is complete, verify that the metadata objects are valid,
and validate that the cube model can be optimized successfully.
Procedure
To validate a cube model:
- In the Data Project Explorer, right-click the cube model
that you want to validate and select Analyze Model.
The Analyze Model wizard opens.
- All of the check boxes for the OLAP constraints,
which includes the OLAP base rules and the OLAP
optimization rules, are selected. To change any of the
selections, clear the check box for the rule. To see the
constraint ID and description of a rule, select the rule in the Rules
field. The description is displayed in the field below.
- Click Finish to start analyzing
the cube model. The Progress Information window shows the status of
the analysis. The results are displayed in the Console
view.
