Exporting data to Excel

By default, the toolbar in PresentBlox or GridBlox includes an Export to Excel button and the menu bar includes a File > Export to Excel option that allows users to export the data in the current view to native Excel format.

To use this Export to Excel option:
  • Users must have Microsoft® Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2007.
  • Users must enable macros when they are prompted. If macros are not enabled, only grid data is present. The chart will not be generated.
  • In Microsoft Office XP or Office 2007, users must choose to trust macros from IBM® to enable the macros.

When users click the Export to Excel button, a dialog opens and prompts the users to choose a template. Alphablox offers two templates: Default and Use Chart Data. You can provide your own templates and make them available through the template selection list in the dialog. Users can choose from one of the templates, or they can choose not to use any template.
