Creating federated objects: Administration Explorer

For the supported Db2® data sources and the Oracle data source, you can use the IBM® Data Studio Administration Explorer to set up a federated server to access data sources on a remote data server.

You can configure your federated system by first creating the individual federated objects that are required to access a data source. Then you can work with those objects in the Administration Explorer to manage the objects individually or to configure multiple federated objects, and to perform additional configuration and administration tasks.
