Data generated by unit of work event monitors
Unit of work event monitors produce
data about units of work (transactions) that run in the system. You
can choose to have the output from a unit of work event monitor to
regular tables, or to an unformatted event (UE) table.
If data is written to a UE table, you must perform post-processing
on it to view the data.
Regardless of the output format you choose, unit of work event
data comes from one of four logical groups:
If you choose to have the unit of work event data written to
regular tables, data from an additional group (CONTROL) is used to
generate meta-data about the event monitor itself.
Note: Unless you specify otherwise,
the only monitor elements collected by a unit of work event monitor
are request metrics. To enable the generation of basic unit of work
event data, or for package or execution list data, you must enable
data collection explicitly. See Enabling event monitor data collection for
more information.
