The type hierarchy

The Db2 XQuery type hierarchy shows all of the types that can be used in XQuery expressions.

The hierarchy in Figure 1 includes abstract base types and derived types. All atomic types derive from the data type xdt:anyAtomicType. Solid lines connect each derived data type to the base types from which it is derived.
