Monitoring events in IBM InfoSphere Change Data Capture with IBM InfoSphere CDC Management Console
Monitor events and system messages that relate to the subscription for your shadow tables to check replication activity and identify problems with the subscription by using the IBM InfoSphere CDC Management Console.
Before you begin
- Ensure that you can log in to the InfoSphere CDC Management Console as access-server-user.
- Ensure that you have access to the datastore for your shadow tables. For more information, see Setting up the datastore for shadow tables with IBM InfoSphere CDC Management Console.
About this task
The information that is available in the InfoSphere CDC Management Console includes details such as when mirroring started or stopped for individual tables and when data was copied from the source table to shadow tables by using the LOAD command.
Procedure
To monitor events in InfoSphere CDC:
- Log in to the InfoSphere CDC Management Console as access-server-user.
- Click . If replication is active, the state of the subscription for your shadow tables shows Mirror Continuous.
- If the state of the subscription for your shadow tables shows Ending or Failed, right-click the subscription and select Show Event Details.
- Click Retrieve Events and select
an appropriate length of time such as Last 24 Hours.
The Events pane is then populated with the message information for each event.
- Display the full message by double-clicking or right-clicking an event and selecting Event Details.
