Storage group authorities

Storage group authorities are designed to allow an authorization ID to perform certain actions on a storage group. Storage group authorities have been designed on the same principle as the database authorities but are different from them as their scope is limited only to the storage group on which they are granted.

The TBSPACEADM authority allows the holder to act as a table space administrator within their storage group. In particular, the holder of TBSPACEADM authority can create, manage and drop automatic storage table spaces, grant and revoke table space privileges, and execute table space monitoring.
