Replicating data to shadow tables with IBM InfoSphere CDC Management Console

To replicate data to shadow tables on a continuous basis, use the InfoSphere CDC Management Console to start mirroring the subscription that you created for shadow tables.

Before you begin

Ensure that you can log in to the InfoSphere CDC Management Console as access-server-user in the access-server-host.
Ensure that you created one subscription that contains all the table mappings for each shadow table in your database. For more information, see Setting up replication for shadow tables with IBM InfoSphere CDC Management Console.

Procedure

To start replicating data:

Log in to the InfoSphere CDC Management Console as access-server-user in the access-server-host.
Select Configuration > Subscriptions.
Start mirroring data by right-clicking the subscription name for shadow tables and selecting Start Mirroring.
In the Start Mirroring window, specify the mirroring method by selecting Continuous and then click OK.
Verify that mirroring for the subscription started by selecting Monitoring > Subscriptions.
After the initial refresh of all the table mappings is completed, the subscription should be in mirroring state.
