Configuring the Db2 database manager to use Active Directory
In order to access Microsoft Active Directory, some prerequisites need to be met.
Before you begin
- The machine that runs Db2 database must belong to a Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003 domain.
- The Microsoft LDAP client must be installed. The Microsoft LDAP client is part of the Windows Server 2003 operating systems.
Procedure
- Enable LDAP support.
- Log on to a domain user account when running the Db2 database system to read information from the Active Directory.
