The IBM Db2 pureScale option for Pacemaker-managed Db2 instances

You can configure a Db2 instance that is running on a Pacemaker-managed Linux cluster to use the IBM Db2 pureScale high-availability option.

Db2® pureScale® is a highly available deployment of Db2 members that process database requests, and Cluster Caching Facilities (CFs) that provide infrastructure services. Data is stored on shared disk storage that is accessible to all members. For further details on the Db2 pureScale components, see topic Components of the Db2 pureScale Feature.

With Db2 pureScale, the management of the Db2 instance is handled by the db2cm utility, while the automation of the solution is monitored and controlled by the Pacemaker cluster manager.
