IBM Netezza connection through the CLI and ODBC driver

IBM Netezza applications can connect to a Db2® server through the CLI client driver, which is ODBC compliant.

The CLI/ODBC client driver can support IBM Netezza ODBC connection requests. Many Netezza connection settings and their syntax are accepted by the client driver. This is convenient if you would like to use existing Netezza ODBC connections to connect to a Db2 environment for data migration. You can use certain Netezza .odbc.ini entries with the SQLDriverConnect() API, and some Netezza attributes in place of Db2 connection attributes, when establishing connection settings between a Netezza client and Db2 server.
