Uninstalling a network mounted client

There is no global registry to update when you want to uninstall the shared client because you used a non-root installation method to create the network mounted client environment on the staging client workstation. There is no client instance to remove.

Procedure

To uninstall the shared client in a network mounted client environment:

  1. Delete the sqllib directory on the shared network path.
Note: You must ensure that active applications are not using files in the sqllib network directory. Deleting this directory while applications are using it might cause unexpected behavior.
  2. For each local client that is part of the network mounted client environment, you must remove the application data and configuration directories that are specified by the DB2_APPL_DATA_PATH and DB2_APPL_CFG_PATH system environment variables. Reset the DB2_APPL_DATA_PATH and DB2_APPL_CFG_PATH system environment variables to the default values.
