TBSPACEADM authority

TBSPACEADM authority is the authority required to manage automatic storage (AS) table spaces within a specific storage group.

Note: The TBSPACEADM authority is available in Db2® 12.1.1 and later.
TBSPACEADM authority can be granted by a security administrator who holds SECADM authority or a user who has ACCESSCTRL authority. TBSPACEADM authority can be granted to a user, a group, or a role. TBSPACEADM authority gives a user the ability to do the following operations:
  • Create, alter, quiesce, rename and drop AS table spaces within their storage group where the authority is held.
  • Grant and revoke table space privileges on AS table spaces within their storage group where the authority is held.
  • Run the table space monitoring routines.
TBSPACEADM authority is a subset of the database administrator authority, DBADM.
