IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio

Changing View Definitions

You can use the IBM View Designer to change the definition of an IBM® database view. Alternatively, if you created a view in the Visual Studio Code Editor, you can edit the source code of the view.

To change a view definition:

  1. In the Server Explorer under your IBM data connection, right-click the database view that you want to change, and then select Open Definition on the shortcut menu.

    The IBM View Designer opens.

  2. Use the designer views to make the necessary changes.

For detailed information about the fields in the designer views, see IBM View Designer.

  3. From the File menu, select Save, and then close the designer.

The database view under your data connection is updated with your changes.
