IBM Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio

Changing Table Definitions

You can use the IBM® Table Designer to change the definition of an IBM database table. Alternatively, if you created a table in the Visual Studio Code Editor, you can edit the source code of the table.

To change a table definition:

  1. In the Server Explorer under your data connection, right-click the table that you want to change, and then select Open Definition on the shortcut menu.

    The IBM Table Designer opens.

  2. Use the views in the designer to make the necessary changes.

For detailed information about the fields in the designer views, see IBM Table Designer.

  3. From the File menu, select Save, and then close the designer.

The table under your data connection is updated with your changes.
