IBM Table Designer

The IBM® Database Add-Ins for Visual Studio simplify the process of creating and modifying IBM database tables. With the IBM Table Designer, you provide information about the table; create or remove columns in the table; define a primary key, unique keys, and foreign keys; define table indexes, specify check constraints, triggers, and access privileges for users and groups; and specify script options for the table.

To open the IBM Table Designer:

Use the buttons on the IBM Table Designer toolbar to move from view to view in the designer.

Column Definitions view toolbar button - Moves to the Column Definitions view

Keys view toolbar button - Moves to the Keys view

Indexes view toolbar button - For a DB2 database For an IDS database Moves to the Indexes view

XML Indexes view toolbar button - For a DB2 database Moves to the XML Indexes view

Check Constraints view toolbar button - Moves to the Check Constraints view

Triggers view toolbar button - For a DB2 database For an IDS database Moves to the Triggers view

Privileges view toolbar button - For a DB2 database For an IDS database Moves to the Privileges view

Show Script view toolbar button - Moves to the Show Script view
